Is it my beard?

You know it is fascinating but it seems that every time I travel internationally recently I get picked on by security. When we entered Venice last year a lovely Italian man patted me down - or should I say "felt me up". I was also the object of the vacuum scan to test for explosives.
Nice!

So to commence the trip to Hawaii today, what happens in Sydney airport? I was once again pulled from the lineup and "patted down". Did I smile?

So 10 hours later we arrived in Honolulu: clearing customs was a breeze except when we were to board the ongoing domestic flight to Seattle. Off with the shoes and then a full body x-ray scan. The security guy must have seen something interesting because I got another pat down. At this stage Nadine was getting jealous. About to collect my stuff and put my shoes on when I was called over for another vacuum scan.

Is it because I am desirable? Roll on Seattle for a shower and a good nights sleep.

  1. I think it is because they have to do a 'required number' of these types of scans and you look calm, relaxed and unlikely to give them any trouble. Glad the trip is going well guys. x
