Sunday in Junea Alaska. Very cold and wet but a wonderful visit to a glacier. So very beautiful so very blue. This photo taken from my iPhone doesn't do it justice. Notice the dark blue patch on the right? A piece had calved off the night before.
The lake has lots of small icebergs most of them grounded on the bottom of the lake. You can see a few in the foreground of the picture.
After an hour at the glacier we went to a Salmon Bake. Very yummy!! A bit of excitement when a small bear, about 100 kg, decided to visit. He was too quick for me to get a photo but I definitely saw a bear!!!!
Had a few hours left before we had to board the ship so wandered around a few shops. Lots of diamond shops and jewelers in Alaska. Apparently that's what people do on this cruise. Buy jewelry! So yes. I had to join in the fun and I bought myself a magnificent ring of tanzanite and diamond. WOW Don't ask how much!!
Skagway today but I'll tell you about that later.
